Part I · Chapter 1

The Eternal Relevance of the Bhagavad Gita: An Exploration of the Inner Battle and Higher Consciousness

Sri Bhagavad Gita is an ancient spiritual book that has 18 chapters and the text is in the form of verses (Shloka). The write up in this chapter is Chapter 1 of Bhagavad Gita explained in contemporary time.

1.1 धर्मक्षेत्रे कुरुक्षेत्रे सर्वेता युयुत्सव:।
र्ार्का: पाण्डवश्चैत ककर्कुरुवा संजन्य।।

Dhritraashtra asks Sanjay, "In the land of righteousness, Kurukshetra, what did the battle hungry my children (Kaurava) and Pandu children (Pandava) do?"

This is the first shloka of Sri Bhagavad Gita and will have meaning, no matter in which era the Gita is being told/read. At the time of stir/Bigbang, when God created the Universe, and the energy was released in the form of miniature particles (possibly, Hydrogen and Helium that formed primordial stars, perhaps Gita was narrated to all the particles including those forming Mother Earth's and its Sun by Lord Krishna who in singularity can be considered as the first few angles that God created and these angles told every particle, that got released in the form of wave with God's energy, that this is your home and you have to come back Home! Something similar to salmons and green turtles who come back home to lay eggs, no matter where in the ocean they are.

After this Gita was retold during Satyuga and Dwaparyuga, and after that it was not revealed, till the war of Mahabharat when it was revealed by Sri Krishna, this time in the form of messenger of God in human form! The context of revealing Sri Bhagavad Gita is, when two warring factions of Kaurava and Pandava are ready to fight and Arjuna asks Sri Krishna to guide his chariot to the middle. At the same time, Dhritarashtra who is blind asks Sanjay the question given in shloka 1.1. Sanjay has Divya Drishti by which he could see everything that happened in the war and narrated to Dhritarashtra. He told the facts of what happened during the war without adding anything from his side in a highly objective manner. If we consider above facts, each of us is Dhritarashtra who wishes to observe the fight between good and evil that is going inside us, in our families, work place, world. Since we suffer from availability bias and can see only what is going on in the present, all of us need a Sanjay who will objectively tell us the facts.

Question arises who will be our Sanjay? Sanjay cannot be a physical person as he will have bias and prejudice. He cannot be messenger of God as they will have some other work. He cannot be angles of God as they are always near to God. In such a situation, our consciousness is our Sanjay. However, as per Maharishi Patanjali, we have to follow Ashtang Yoga to arrive at higher consciousness (up to the level of Meditation Dhyan (level 7) or Samadhi (level 8), after passing through stages of concentration- Dharana (level 6), after being fully objective (by Pratyahara level 5,), sitting in a proper posture (Asana) with controlled breathing (Pranayam) and having mastered Ethics (Yama) and Morals (Niyama). This also seems quite tedious process.

Raj Yoga as practiced in Sahaj Marg (Heartfulness) is perhaps the simplest form of practice that helps us to listen to our consciousness, after a Master of calibre (who can transmit Pranahuti) removes our impressions, we practice daily cleaning, meditate on our heart once a day and pray before the bed time. In fact, if practiced with devotion, it is as simple as touching your nose with index finger! However, there is a prerequisite to it. We have to be ready- in the sense, the question should arise as to where is my Home? The moment this question arises, the Master of calibre will depute someone to attend to you no matter where on earth you live. After, we practice Sahaj Marg for some time, we shall still remain Dhritarashtra but we shall have our own Sanjay in the form of higher consciousness who will report to us objectively. In due course of time, with practice, we shall even be aware on which side Narayan (Sri Krishna) is and on which side Narayani Sena (Sri Krishna's army) is. What is good and what is evil? This differentiation will allow us to lead life with righteousness with love for God and without fear of God!

Sri Bhagavad Gita 1.2 to 1.20 — These shlokas of Sri Bhagavad Gita describe how the armies of Kaurava and Pandava composed of various fighters of different ages and calibre belonging to different empires, supporting either of the warring factions are facing each other. First Kaurava started blowing their conches and then Sri Krishna, Arjuna, other Pandava and their supporters blew their conches. The sound produced by this was so much that the earth and Mother Nature also shook. Such is the description given in 19 shlokas. Babuji Maharaj has explained in Reality at Dawn that after the stir, the stars and planets started moving out forming the universe and as per Max Planck institute (published in Jan 2024) the Universe is still expanding. The initial stars composed of H and He, the descendent stars had higher metals and now we have different heavy metals found on Mother Earth. Simply stating, the finest particles have got coarseness over period of time (13.7+/-0.2 billion years since the stir/Big Bang). Same may be true for the souls that were also released at the time of stir and with repeated births, with impressions that are like chains, good or bad, develop coarseness. Babuji Maharaj, the second Master of Heartfulness, states that the chains, whether golden or iron are chains! He also explains the circles of Maya, Ego and Splendor. Depending upon the state of soul (Atman), he can be at any of the places, while striving to go to the centre to Nirguna Nirakar Brahman (formless, uncreated, all-embracing-being) that is present everywhere and within all living beings. This coarseness manifests in the form of warring factions blowing their conches, just like two warring armies of Mahabharat. Also though we say that the fundamental principle of universe is equilibrium, Max Planck has even observed four galaxies colliding with each other.

Let's see, what different fundamental parameters affect our Atman's position.

1. If Love (प्रेम) is the universal truth with Divine and Humane
2. Material Nature (माया) that is creation and encompasses-Lust (काम) Anger (क्रोध) - which are universal phenomenon
3. Greed (लोभ), Fear (भय) and Attachment (मोह) - these are specific phenomenon arise in certain conditions
4. Ego (अहंकार) universal phenomenon

These attributes, other than love, keep on colliding with love (this can be considered as Sri Krishna). Righteousness or Dharma is in the side of Sri Krishna or Love and thus Pandava may be considered that. Thus, our fundamental attributes that are negative (you may call them sin) keep on forming allies amongst themselves, and wage war against righteousness (Dharma) that has support of love. The vices have Narayani Sena (Sri Krishna's army) with them but Dharma has Narayan (Sri Krishna) with them. At this point of time, Dharma wants to do away with war, as God ignores vices of humans, and this war is averted most of the time. However, if the vices become extreme, the war between good and bad is imminent.

Sri Bhagavad Gita 1.26-1.45 — When Sri Krishna took the chariot in the middle of two armies, Arjuna saw his fathers, grandfathers, teachers, maternal uncles, brothers, sons, grandsons, friends, and also his father in law and well-wishers ready to fight. Seeing this Arjuna was overwhelmed with compassion and told Sri Krishna that watching this his limbs were trembling and mouth was dried up. In fact, his whole body started trembling and hair stood on ends. He felt his bow was slipping and skin was burning. He told Sri Krishna that he could not stand there any longer and could see only evil. He was perplexed of the fact that how any good could come from killing his family in the battle and how could he desire any subsequent victory, kingdom, or happiness? These are needed for the family but Arjuna had to fight the family to achieve this. The relatives narrated above were ready to fight, prepared to die and give up the property by standing in front of Arjuna. He did not want to kill. In fact, he becomes ready to leave all the three worlds for the family.

Arjuna continued and told Sri Krishna that it will be sin to kill even if the family was aggressor and this it was not proper to kill Kaurava family. There was no gain in killing them and no good fortune and happiness was seen. Since the concept of sin came, Arjuna told Sri Krishna that even if the other army was overtaken by greed and saw no fault in killing one's family, but why should Pandava do the same? He told Sri Krishna, with the destruction of the dynasty, the family tradition dies and the remaining members stray and become involved with non religious activities. When the families stray the members of the family become corrupt and from the degradation of family, comes unwanted progeny. With increased in unwanted population, a hell like situation arises for both the family and for those who destroy family tradition. Such corrupt families do not offer obligation of food and water to the ancestors. With this all type of community projects and family welfare activities are devastated. And Arjuna told that he had heard that those who destroy family tradition dwell always in hell. So how strange it was that they were ready to commit grave sin driven by desire to enjoy royal happiness. He would consider it better for sons of Dhritarashtra to kill him unarmed and unresisting.

Part I · Chapter 2

Exploring Shunya (Emptiness) through Spiritual and Scientific Lenses

Sometimes a question arises as to what is the goal of human life? When we say humans, we talk about beings that have a physical body, a soul, a mind & intellect, and consciousness. Buddha told humans to create awareness about their self and surroundings. He also told that expectations (तृष्णा) are causes of various miseries (दु:ख) and humans have to gain Nirvana (निर्वाण) to achieve happiness (आनंद). Looks like the human mind is always wandering, and that's how the idea of Chittavritinirodha (चित्तवृत्तिनिरोध) emerged. And different paths claim that they lead to Sattachittaananda (सत्चित्तानन्द)! Some of us may claim that life is a journey (एक यात्रा) and there is no goal. Everyone is right by means of their interpretations.

Let's consider life as a journey (यात्रा) as explained by Sankhya Yoga (सांख्ययोग) in Sri Bhagavad Gita. Going by the spirituality path, there are different chakras (चक्र), and while traversing on the path of spirituality, we have to cross them all to take a plunge into the Ultimate. It has been mentioned that we need a master of caliber to take this plunge. We are likely to have sakshatkara (साक्षात्कार) with the Reality. But what is after that? The journey (यात्रा) is over! Life still remains! At this stage, it is like Anaal Haq (اناالحق) or Shiva-o-Aham (शिवोऽहम) and Ahambrahm asmi (अहंब्रह्मअस्मी). Perhaps, at this level, the responsibility rises multifold, and the human being evolves from human to divine. It is like reaching the peak of Mount Everest! And we cannot be at the peak all the time. But then, there is nothing left to conquer! Here, Sankhya Yoga (सांख्ययोग) of Sri Bhagavad Gita comes to rescue.

The human in this form becomes transcendental and is beyond the modes of Goodness, Passion, and Delusion (सात्विक, राजसिक और तामसिक प्रवृत्तियां). We can say that now he has achieved Chittavritinirodha (चित्तवृत्तिनिरोध). And if this feeling (भाव) continues, he can achieve Sattachittaananda (सत्चित्तानन्द). Practically, it is the feeling of nothingness (शून्यभाव या शून्यता) where a person is equipoised and is even free from bliss/happiness (आनंद)!

Let's explore two examples: one from history and the other from physics. The first is the spiritual journey of Siddhartha Gautama, who became the Buddha. The second example involves the scientific concepts of matter, antimatter, and dark matter. By aligning with Buddha's path of enlightenment and few concepts of physics we can draw intriguing analogies related to the concept of Shunya (emptiness).

The Path of Siddhartha to Buddha:
Siddhartha Gautama was born into the opulence of the Shakya clan, living a life of luxury and comfort as a prince. Despite his privileged existence, Siddhartha was deeply troubled by the awareness of inevitable human suffering, which lay outside the confines of his sheltered world.

One day, Siddhartha ventured beyond the palace walls and encountered four profound sights that deeply affected him: 1. An Old Man: He saw an elderly person, frail and weakened by age, confronting him with the reality of aging. 2. A Sick Man: He encountered someone suffering from a debilitating illness, illustrating the pervasive nature of disease. 3. A Dead Body: He came across a corpse, which starkly reminded him of the inevitability of death. 4. A Renunciant: Finally, he saw a monk who had renounced worldly life in search of spiritual liberation, which ignited his desire to seek a deeper understanding of existence and a solution to human suffering.

These encounters led Siddhartha to renounce his royal life and wealth. Driven by a profound desire to understand and overcome suffering, he embarked on a quest for truth. Siddhartha was associated with renowned teachers and engaged in severe ascetic practices, including extreme fasting and self-mortification. Despite his rigorous efforts, he found that neither indulgence nor asceticism provided the liberation he sought. This realization led him to embrace a more balanced approach known as the Middle Way.

Siddhartha meditated under the Bodhi tree, resolving not to rise until he discovered the truth. During this meditation, he attained profound insight into the nature of suffering and its cessation. He realized that suffering arises from desire and ignorance, and that true liberation (Nirvana) comes from transcending these attachments. In his state of enlightenment, Siddhartha understood the concept of Shunya (emptiness), recognizing that all phenomena are interconnected and transient. He saw that both the self and the external world are constructs of the mind, and that liberation involves transcending these constructs. His realization was akin to achieving Chittavritinirodha (stilling of mental fluctuations) and reaching Sattachittaananda (existence, consciousness, and bliss).

After attaining enlightenment, Siddhartha became the Buddha ("the Awakened One"). Instead of retreating into solitude, he chose to teach others about the path to liberation. His ongoing engagement with the world reflected his understanding that even after the highest realization, life involves ongoing responsibility and compassionate action. Siddhartha's journey from a sheltered prince to the Buddha involved a profound transformation through understanding suffering and attaining enlightenment. This journey mirrors the concept of Shunya or emptiness, which involves transcending ordinary experiences to reach a state of profound inner peace. His journey reflects the essence of spiritual progress and the ongoing nature of existence beyond the moment of enlightenment.

The Nature of Matter and Antimatter:
In physics, matter constitutes physical objects, while antimatter is its counterpart with opposite properties. When matter and antimatter interact, they annihilate each other, releasing energy. This annihilation can be seen as analogous to the process of transcending conventional dualities. Just as matter and antimatter are two aspects of the same fundamental reality, Siddhartha's journey involved recognizing and overcoming the dualities of pleasure and suffering.

Siddhartha Gautama's path can be compared to the interaction between matter and antimatter. Initially immersed in the material and sensory world (matter), he then shifted to extreme ascetic practices (antimatter). His ultimate realization was that transcending both extremes was necessary for enlightenment. This insight mirrors the way matter and antimatter are different aspects of a unified reality, requiring balance and understanding.

The Concept of Dark Matter:
Dark matter on the other hand is a form of matter that does not emit light or energy and remains invisible, yet it exerts significant gravitational effects on visible matter. It represents hidden aspects of the universe that profoundly influence cosmic structures without being directly observable.

Spiritually, dark matter can symbolize the hidden or unconscious aspects of existence. Buddha's enlightenment involved perceiving these deeper dimensions of reality. Just as dark matter influences the universe's structure without being seen, Buddha's realization uncovered fundamental truths about existence that are not immediately apparent in ordinary experience.

Aligning with Shunya and Enlightenment:
Shunya reflects the idea that all phenomena, including matter and antimatter, are interdependent and lack inherent, independent existence. This concept aligns with how matter and antimatter, despite their opposing characteristics, are part of a unified reality. Enlightenment, in this view, involves recognizing the underlying unity and emptiness beyond apparent dualities.

Just as understanding the universe's hidden aspects (like dark matter) is crucial for comprehending cosmic structure, the realization of Shunya involves recognizing the fundamental interconnectedness and impermanence of all phenomena. Siddhartha's enlightenment, or the Buddha's awakening, mirrors the insight into the universe's hidden dimensions and the interconnectedness of all things.

Aligning the concepts of matter, antimatter, and dark matter with the spiritual journey of Siddhartha Gautama offers a profound analogy for understanding his path to enlightenment. The transition from sensory indulgence to enlightenment parallels the interaction between matter and antimatter, while the realization of Shunya corresponds to uncovering the hidden dimensions of existence, much like the role of dark matter in the universe.

These analogies illustrate that the pursuit of deeper truths involves transcending ordinary experiences and apparent dualities. By recognizing the profound interconnectedness underlying all aspects of reality, one can achieve a state of profound inner peace and enlightenment.

Nature of Spirituality through the Lens of Matter, Antimatter, Dark Matter, and Dark Energy

Exploring spirituality through the lenses of modern physics and ancient wisdom offers profound insights into our existence and consciousness. By integrating concepts from matter, antimatter, dark matter, and dark energy with spiritual perspectives, we can uncover the deep interconnectedness of the cosmos and our place within it. The universe, as described by the Bhagavad Gita, experiences cycles of creation and destruction, likened to the twinkling of God's eye. This cyclical nature reflects divine acts of expansion and contraction, aligning with the dynamic interplay of matter and energy. Our spiritual journey, in this context, involves transcending ego and recognizing our role in this grand cosmic orchestration.

Scientific understanding reveals that only about 5% of the universe consists of observable matter, while the remaining 95% comprises dark matter and dark energy. This division highlights that our material world is just one aspect of a more profound, unseen reality. Dark matter and dark energy, though invisible, constitute the majority of the universe's substance, paralleling spiritual concepts of hidden dimensions and unseen influences. The expanding universe symbolizes continuous growth and transformation, reflecting both the physical cosmos and human consciousness. Similar to the expansion of the universe, our understanding and spiritual awareness evolve, reflecting the process of spiritual growth. This expansion emphasizes that our spiritual journey is part of a larger cosmic evolution.

The Earth, which was formed roughly 4.5 billion years ago, represents a significant part of the evolving universe which started approximately 13.7 billion years back. This immense timescale underscores the vastness of cosmic evolution and our place within it. Spirituality can be seen as a journey through this historical continuum, seeking meaning and harmony within the broader context of a universe that has been unfolding for billions of years. In many spiritual traditions, God is perceived as omnipresent, encompassing all aspects of reality. This concept aligns with the idea that both matter and dark energy pervade the universe. Just as dark matter and dark energy are integral yet invisible components of the cosmos, the divine essence permeates every aspect of existence, both seen and unseen. This omnipresence reflects the unity of spiritual and material realms. The material world includes everything from humans to plants, animals, and microorganisms as well as non-living things.

In this context, spirituality involves understanding the interplay between the material and spiritual realms. Our intellect, skills, and consciousness are expressions of a deeper interconnected reality that transcends mere physical existence. The material world is influenced by the three Gunas: Satwik (pure and harmonious), Rajsik (active and passionate), and Taamsik (inert and ignorant). Spiritual practices aim to transcend these qualities, seeking a state of balance and higher consciousness. Enlightenment brings about a transformative change in thought and intellect. An enlightened individual perceives reality with clarity, experiencing interconnectedness and inner peace. This shift in consciousness aids in a compassionate and insightful approach to life, highlighting the transformative power of spiritual awakening. Valmiki, the ancient sage and author of the epic 'Ramayana' illustrates an example of spiritual enlightenment. His profound transformation from a bandit to a revered sage exemplifies how spiritual realization can lead to profound insights and creative expression. Valmiki's work reflects deep understanding and insight into existence, demonstrating how spiritual awakening can profoundly influence one's contributions to wisdom and expression of thought.

The thoughts and messages of intellectuals who have not completed their work may persist in the universe, influencing those prepared to carry forward their legacy. This process reflects the idea that wisdom and insights transcend time and space, contributing to ongoing spiritual and intellectual growth. The exchange of good thoughts between like-minded individuals and those circulating in the universe may appear as coincidences or as part of a cosmic communication network. This network might involve telepathy or other forms of non-physical communication, reflecting the interconnected nature of thought and consciousness. Communication may not always involve language or physical actions; it could just manifest as thoughts that are transmitted, reflecting a deeper, non-verbal exchange of understanding and connection between individuals. Exploring these possibilities offers insights into how spiritual and intellectual exchanges occur on subtle levels.

The question of when and how we can receive universal thoughts remains open and needs generation of evidence. It involves cultivating awareness and openness to higher insights and being attuned to the subtle influences that permeate our consciousness. The psyche, soul, mind, and body each play crucial roles in spiritual development. The psyche encompasses mental and emotional states, the soul represents our core essence, the mind facilitates intellectual and spiritual growth, and the body acts as the vessel for these experiences. Research highlighted in Nature (McNamara P, Newsome W, Linkenhoker B, Grafman J. Neuroscientists must not be afraid to study religion. Nature. 2024 Jul 4;631(8019):25-7) suggests that studying the religious aspects of human beings can provide insights into how spirituality affects brain function and consciousness. This research could deepen our understanding of the relationship between spiritual practices and neurological processes. According to Science (Agustín Fuentes, Humans are biocultural, science should be too. Science 382, eadl1517 (2023)), humans are biocultural, meaning that our biological and cultural aspects are intertwined. This concept underscores the interplay between our evolutionary heritage and the cultural frameworks that shape our spiritual experiences.

By exploring spirituality through the lenses of matter, antimatter, dark matter, and dark energy, we uncover a rich tapestry of interconnectedness that spans both physical and spiritual realms. This integrated perspective encourages us to seek wisdom and enlightenment, bridging the visible and invisible aspects of existence. Understanding these connections enriches our spirituality and deepens our appreciation of the cosmic order and our place within it. It encourages us to explore spirituality as an evolving journey that is deeply connected to both our material and spiritual experiences.

Exploring the Boundaries of Existence: A Journey Beyond Conventional Paths to Moksha (Liberation)

The universe can be envisioned as a dynamic spectrum of cosmic forces and principles consisting of frequencies and gravitational waves. As per the latest literature, the scientists have been able to synthesize evidence only for gravitational waves that may range from megahertz (near the site of the big bang) to nanohertz (near the edge of the universe) as per Nature article (Opening the window on gravitational waves, Vol 631, 4th July 2024). The evidence for dark matter is lacking, though other articles published on black holes have been able to account for only 10% of dark matter in the universe (Kerins, E. Nature 2024. Primordial black holes are too scarce to explain dark matter; Mróz, P., Udalski, A., Szymański, M. K., Soszyński, I., Wyrzykowski, Ł., Pietrukowicz, P., Ratajczak, M. (2024). No massive black holes in the Milky Way halo. Nature, 632(8026), 749-751).

At one end of this spectrum is 'Shiva', symbolizing annihilation and anti-matter. Shiva represents the fundamental force of destruction and transformation, existing at frequencies as low as nanohertz. Shiva's role in cosmic dissolution is crucial for the cycle of creation, preservation, and destruction. This concept parallels modern theories of physics about the cyclical nature of the universe. In the middle lies 'Brahman' (ब्रह्म), the embodiment of the inner self or 'Bhaav'. Brahman represents creation, transitioning matter from the quantum level of megahertz to nanohertz, marking the emergence of primordial stars and the genesis of the universe. Brahman's role in creation is typified in scientific models of the Big Bang, which posits a primordial state of singularity from which the universe emerged. 'Vishnu', the preserver and procreator, possibly associated with Dark Matter and Dark Energy, potentially resonating in gigahertz. Vishnu and Dark Matter are analogous in their roles in sustaining the universe's structure, though the exact nature of Dark Matter remains a profound mystery. Also, self-arranging, Dark Matter may metaphorically correspond to Vishnu, while Dark Energy is akin to Lakshmi or Devi. Both represent Shunya which is the unexplored or less understood state of emptiness. This ultimate state, characterized by formlessness, lightlessness, and knowledgelessness, is synonymous with the divine essence of Almighty God, Bhagwaan, or Allah. The third of Trinity is 'Brahma' (ब्रह्मा) who is responsible for synthesizing the Universe after the Hydrogen and Helium are released following the stir/Big Bang.

Furthermore, the universe is composed of two primary natures: a) Material Nature: This realm where human beings exist is subject to the influence of the three Gunas—Satwik (pure and harmonious), Rajsik (active and passionate), and Tamasik (inert and chaotic). These Gunas define our interactions and experiences within the material world, influencing our actions and perceptions. b) Spiritual Nature: A transcendent realm that goes beyond Material Nature, associated with higher states of consciousness and self-realization. This nature encompasses the pursuit of spiritual enlightenment and liberation.

The Bhagavad Gita discusses the influence of the three Gunas on human behavior and spiritual progress, emphasizing the importance of transcending these qualities to achieve higher states of being. Meditative practices and spiritual disciplines across various traditions aim to transcend Material Nature, leading to experiences of inner peace and enlightenment. Traditional teachings offer several pathways to achieve moksha (liberation): a) Path of Satwik: Emphasizes living a life of purity and harmony to transition into the Spiritual Nature and reaching the Humane and Divine stages. b) Path of Rajsik: Focuses on passionate engagement and self-introspection, but still emanating humanity. c) Path of Tamasik: Involves inertia and ignorance and even falling below human nature. Yoga and meditation often integrate these paths, with different techniques suited to individual temperaments and spiritual goals. Hindu philosophy emphasizes that transcending the three Gunas is essential for attaining higher states of consciousness and ultimately achieving moksha.

We propose that achieving Moksha may require moving even beyond conventional materialistic and spiritual teachings. Instead of confining ourselves to these realms, we should strive to transcend self-centeredness and plunge beyond the universe into the ultimate state of Shunya, where Dark Matter and Dark Energy are prevalent. This state of Moksha embodies Sattachithaananda and necessitates further exploration. Buddha's teachings on emptiness and the nature of reality emphasize the importance of transcending ordinary perceptions to attain a state of liberation. Quantum physics suggests that the universe is not a void but is filled with potential and unseen forces, paralleling the concept of Shunya. The pursuit of enlightenment should not be limited to the Materialistic or Spiritual worlds. True enlightenment may lie beyond these realms, in a state of Emptiness that is not mere vacuum but a space rich with Dark Matter and Dark Energy. If evidence states that 5% is matter and 10% of dark matter can be known in the universe as per the latest studies, probably the majority Dark matter and Dark energy is beyond the universe, in the realm of Vishnu & Devi. Exploring this dimension could lead to the ultimate inner peace and enlightenment. Few traditions often speak of profound states of consciousness where dualities dissolve, and the seeker experiences a unity with the cosmos.

In conclusion, to truly understand and attain Moksha, one must venture beyond conventional spiritual practices and delve into the profound depths of existence itself, exploring the enigmatic realms of Dark Matter, Dark Energy, and Shunya.

Divine Roles and Enhanced Consciousness: Integrating Ancient Epics with Modern Perspectives on Reality and Communication

Introduction
The ancient Indian epics, the Mahabharata and the Ramayana, present profound narratives that transcend mere storytelling. These epics offer deep insights into the roles of divine beings, their interactions with the material and spiritual realms, and the implications for human consciousness and communication. By examining these narratives through the lens of modern thought, including concepts like dark matter and consciousness, we gain a richer understanding of their significance.

Role of the Kauravas and Pandavas
In the Mahabharata, the Kauravas and Pandavas represent the fundamental conflict between righteousness (dharma) and unrighteousness (adharma). While Lord Krishna, as the Supreme Being, transcends both material and spiritual realms, His interactions with the Kauravas and Pandavas are crucial for maintaining cosmic balance. The Kauravas symbolize the forces that challenge dharma, while the Pandavas embody its virtues. Their struggle serves to demonstrate the importance of righteousness and the consequences of moral failure, reflecting the divine plan to uphold cosmic order through human actions. This has been explained in Chapter 1 of this book.

The Vanar Sena and Lord Rama
In the Ramayana, the Vanar Sena (monkey army) led by Hanuman plays a pivotal role in aiding Lord Rama's mission to rescue Sita and defeat Ravana. This army represents a diverse range of beings united by their devotion and loyalty. Lord Rama's communication with the Vanar Sena transcends ordinary interaction. Rather than a literal exchange of words, it can be viewed as a form of spiritual resonance. The Vanar Sena's ability to perform seemingly miraculous feats, such as constructing the Ram Sethu (Adam's Bridge), might be interpreted as a manifestation of heightened consciousness and divine energy. These feats, while appearing as miracles, might reflect states of higher consciousness where the boundaries of material laws are transcended.

The Concept of Higher Consciousness
The concept of higher consciousness, as suggested, involves states such as Dharana (concentration) and Dhyana (meditation). Individuals in the Treta Yuga and Dwapara Yuga, like Lord Rama and Lord Krishna, are believed to have possessed advanced spiritual awareness, allowing them to control their chakras and interact with higher dimensions of existence. This heightened state of consciousness enabled them to harness divine energies and communicate with both living and non-living entities. The idea that these beings could resonate with dark matter and energy is a metaphorical way of expressing their mastery over both material and spiritual realms.

Formulated Hypothesis

नैनं छिन्दन्ति शस्त्राणि नैनं दहति पावकः।
न चैनं क्लेदयन्त्यापो न शोषयति मारुतः॥ (2.23)

Above is the explanation about the nature of soul (आत्मान) given in Sri Bhagavad Gita. It says- In the Bhagavad Gita, Lord Krishna expounds the nature of the atman and tells Arjuna – The atman cannot be shattered by weapons, it cannot be burnt by fires, it cannot be drenched by the waters and it cannot be rendered dry by the winds. |2.23|

Let's see if we can explain this on the concept of self-arranging dark matter associated with dark energy that may be hypothesized to exist in the emptiness. At the time of creation of Universe, the self-arranging dark matter may condense at a place in the emptiness and using dark energy may cause inflation & deflation and eventually expansion in the form of stir/big bang that leads to formation of the universe and the material world. Some dark matter may become part of the universe, say for example 10% as calculated recently in a paper on black holes published in the Nature. Thus, the self-arranging dark matter can be equated to Vishnu and dark energy with Devi. The amount of the dark matter present in the universe can be considered as the super soul given in Sri Bhagavad Gita. This super soul will also be present in the living beings as soul or Atman, where it can arrange at different levels of various Chakras.

For the persons in the material mode of delusion (तामसिक) it can be at the level of Svadhisthana Chakra where the person is only concerned with feeding and breeding. With evolved consciousness, the soul rises upwards, crossing two Chakra Svadhisthana and Manipura (स्वाधिष्ठान और मणिपुरा) below the diaphragm and reach the level of heart Anahata (अनहट). The person's material nature may shift from delusion to passion and even to goodness with increased awareness (तामसिक से राजसिक से सात्विक तक)! With material nature in the mode of goodness, the person may evolve from human to humane to even divine. With practice, the soul/Atman/self-arranging dark matter arranges itself further up reaching the Chakra present in the neck Vishuddha (विशुद्ध चक्र), that is up to the end of पिंड लोक/Pind Loka, and beyond which Brahmand Lok/ब्रह्मांड लोक will start. Ultimately, the Atman can reach the highest Chakra and with that spiritual body may cross the circles of Maya, Ego and Splendour to reach the centre of the Universe. It is the time when the person visualises Brahman (ब्रह्म) after his Ego is annihilated (नफ़्स फ़ना करदी). While crossing all these Chakra, a person may get stuck at a certain level according to his material nature and start enjoying his status at that Chakra. The five Kosas Annamaya, Pranamaya, Manomaya, Vijnanamaya, Anandamaya (अन्नमय, प्राणमय, मनोमय, विज्ञानमय और आनंदमय) become so profound that it becomes difficult to get rid of them.

Here person may think his journey to be over and when he dies eventually, he may take birth in the lower order, human life or amongst demigods (righteous people), depending on his material nature and level of Chakra where his soul has arranged himself. After death, the soul may get out of material body from lower or higher openings of the body, depending on evolution of the person.

The Concept of Enhanced consciousness
When Lord Buddha preached to be aware of self, he was probably referring to both physical and spiritual body when spirituality reaches the highest level or the highest Chakra and thus the chants, Budhham Sharnam Gachhami, Dhammam Sharnam Gachhami and Sangham Sharnam Gachhami/ बुद्धम शरणम गच्छामी, धम्म शरणम गच्छामी और संघम शरणम गच्छामी।

After this Lord Buddha asked them to be aware of the outside. We may believe that the blessed Lord was so evolved that when he said to be aware of self, he must have talked about to enhance the consciousness to understand the Universe. And when he told to look outside, it could be beyond the Universe into Shunayata or emptiness. Even though expanding continuously, the Universe has finite structure and a timeline- 13.7+/-0.2 billion years. The time started from creation of the Universe, stir/Big Bang. So with evolution, we also have to look in to the emptiness (शून्यता) that is beyond the edge of the Universe or in the realm of Dark matter and Dark energy or विष्णु और देवी!

Coming back to Chakra, they are initially in the form of nodes that become Chakra or lotus as consciousness enhances. Let's take one example to understand, how energy is used to convert to another state inside the body. The ATP synthase enzyme in mitochondria is one example that uses energy in the form of Hydrogen ion and creates ATP from ADP using that energy. This enzyme rotates anti clockwise, during synthesis of ATP. Chakras also rotate. All Chakra rotate clockwise and anti clockwise. What is the significance of this rotation?

The soul (आत्मा) or self-arranging Dark matter has to move upward using Dark energy through various nodes, activating those nodes and making them Chakra using clock wise rotation. While moving from Muladhara (मूलधारा) Chakra, the lowest one, to the highest one, if the soul inside the physical body tries, it can cover everything in one go. Daaji has talked about daily wage women labourers, who did not have previous experience with spirituality, but while he gave them the first sitting, their consciousness reached the highest possible level! However, sustainability will need Constant Practice and Constant Remembrance!

I believe, that if a person practices and reaches the highest Chakra, he should then try to look outside and be aware of the realm beyond the material body or the Universe in spiritual terms, into शूनायता or emptiness. This is the state of enlightenment and the person seeks reality then. Babuji Maharaj called it Reality at Dawn which I prefer to call नया सवेरा! Babuji Maharaj has stated that when we reach near the Reality, we are actually pushed away, even though we travel so long to reach there. He also mentioned that he believes that some of the Abhyasis should try beyond that. When the soul takes outward plunge, it goes beyond the realms of the material as well as spiritual world, in search of the Truth and depending on our faith, we call Him by different names. Perhaps the emptiness is so wide that it may encompass a number of universes in different states of evolution, thus the concept of multiverse!

The evolved soul that has started looking outside becomes so full of energy that when it descends back it makes the Anahata Chakra move clockwise and the soul reaches the heart region. That's perhaps the fundamental concept of meditating on heart in Heartfulness. Looks like, after the soul has evolved, or the Dark matter starts using Dark energy, the movement of the soul upwards and downwards and its residing in the Heart Region becomes natural (सहज). This is how I understand Sahaj Marg (सहज मार्ग). A person may also mediate at Ajna Chakra (अाज्ञा चक्र) in between two eyes as advised in mindfulness practices. All contemplative practices basically advise to focus the consciousness at a level and go deep inside.

Till the time soul is up to the level of the highest Chakra, it reaches up to the state of Dhyan/ध्यान (contemplation), the seventh stage according to Ashtang Yoga. However, when it takes a plunge outside into emptiness, the material body goes in to the eighth stage that is Samadhi/Vilaya (समाधि या विलय). At this stage though the person is aware of his body, still the concept of material nature and even spiritual nature vanishes. When the soul returns, then only the person becomes aware of the surroundings. This time duration can be anywhere between seconds to hours to days (Vivekananda 72 hours on a rock in Kanyakumari and Siddhartha Gautama, 49 days under the Bodhi Tree in Gaya).

However, the concept of time during that period disappears and even the lowest Chakra become so energetic, that the concept of feeding (भूख़) also disappears. We can state that the concept of time and other material things extend only to this Universe.

Role of Rishis and Munis
Rishis and Munis, the sages and ascetics of ancient India, pursued knowledge and enlightenment beyond the conventional material and spiritual realms. Their quest was not just to understand the physical world or divine principles but to delve into the profound mysteries of existence, including the nature of dark matter and dark energy. They sought to achieve a level of consciousness that could penetrate beyond the known dimensions, aiming to explore and connect with the fundamental fabric of reality itself.

Communication at different levels of awareness
Most of the times cognitive domain of the brain is working, this leads to thought process and communicated to others by language known to that community. However, if we reach the Samadhi/Vilaya state (eighth limb of Ashtang Yoga), we are almost self hypnotized. At that state the brain does not work in normal fashion but will become receptive to subtle messages from outside. All this communication will be non-verbal and we may not even understand in the beginning as to what was communicated. This will remain unprocessed, till we are ready to carry out that work. Reverse may be true- where we can hypnotize (मंत्रमुग्ध) someone and communicate to him, animal or bird or human, by non-verbal means, something similar to what Sri Ram did in Ramayana or Saint Sulaiman could speak to animals. Recently, a grant of 25 million USD has been allocated to understand the communication with animals using AI.

Contemporary Perspective
In our modern era, dominated by materialism and technological advancements, we often limit our understanding to the observable and quantifiable aspects of existence. Communication today revolves around digital platforms like WhatsApp, Facebook, and Twitter, which represent an extension of our material engagement. However, the exploration of spiritual dimensions and higher consciousness remains relatively unexplored in contemporary discourse. The ancient narratives suggest that our current limitations might be a result of focusing predominantly on material technology while neglecting the spiritual and metaphysical realms.

The ancient epics provide a rich tapestry of divine interactions and human experiences that transcend the material and spiritual boundaries. By reflecting on the roles of figures like the Kauravas, Pandavas, Vanar Sena, and divine incarnations, we gain insights into higher states of consciousness and the profound nature of existence. As modern technology advances, there is an opportunity to bridge the gap between material and spiritual understanding, potentially exploring dimensions that align with the ancient wisdom of higher consciousness and divine interaction.

Interestingly, insights from seemingly unrelated areas—such as model collapse in artificial intelligence (AI) and ancient spiritual teachings—can offer valuable solutions to this contemporary dilemma. This document explores how these insights can provide solutions to the mental health crisis among scientists and research students by integrating principles from model collapse, ancient spiritual teachings, and modern scientific understanding.

Model collapse, observed in artificial intelligence when large language models (LLMs) become trapped in repetitive patterns, mirrors the intellectual stagnation and burnout experienced by researchers. Just as LLMs may struggle to generate diverse and innovative ideas due to repetitive patterns, researchers can encounter similar challenges when facing intellectual stagnation and burnout. Addressing these issues requires strategies that foster creativity and resilience.

Ancient Indian spiritual teachings, such as those found in the Bhagavad Gita, offer timeless wisdom for managing stress and expectations. In the Bhagavad Gita, Lord Krishna advises Arjuna to focus on action (karma) without attachment to the results. This principle emphasizes the value of process over outcome, suggesting a path to alleviate the intense pressures faced by researchers. By embracing this principle, researchers can manage stress more effectively and maintain a healthier work-life balance.

Siddhartha Gautama's journey from a sheltered prince to the Buddha involves a profound transformation through understanding suffering and attaining enlightenment. This journey mirrors the concept of Shunya (emptiness) and highlights the importance of transcending ordinary experiences to reach a state of profound inner peace. Siddhartha's realization that all phenomena are interconnected and transient aligns with the pursuit of higher consciousness and enlightenment.

In physics, matter and antimatter represent opposing forces that annihilate each other, analogous to transcending dualities. Siddhartha's journey reflects this transition from sensory indulgence to enlightenment. Dark matter, representing hidden aspects of the universe, parallels the spiritual journey of uncovering fundamental truths about existence. Understanding these scientific concepts offers a deeper perspective on the nature of reality and the pursuit of enlightenment.

The Ashtang Yoga, as outlined by Maharishi Patanjali, comprises eight limbs: Yama (External Discipline), Niyama (Internal Discipline), Aasan (Posture), Pranayam (Breath Control), Pratyahara (Withdrawal of Senses), Dharan (Concentration), Dhyan (Meditative Absorption), and Samadhi/Vilaya (Union or Integration). These principles can be applied to medical education and training to foster both compassionate care and objective analysis.

Integrating Ashtang Yoga principles into medical education offers a balanced approach that nurtures values such as empathy, sympathy, and altruism while also focusing on skill development and intellectual growth. This holistic framework supports students in maintaining equilibrium between empathy and professionalism, thereby reducing compassion fatigue and burnout.

By integrating insights from model collapse, ancient spiritual teachings, and modern scientific understanding, we can develop strategies that address both the cognitive and emotional challenges faced by researchers and medical students. The Bhagavad Gita's emphasis on focusing on action without attachment to results, combined with the scientific analogies of matter, antimatter, and dark matter, provides a comprehensive framework for managing stress and fostering resilience. The application of Ashtang Yoga principles in education further supports this approach, offering a holistic path to mental health and enlightenment.

The principles of Patanjali's Ashtanga Yoga can further be integrated with Machine Learning (ML) and Large Language Models (LLMs) to promote societal values and non-violence. This process may involve several key components. Data collection focuses on gathering qualitative and quantitative data on human material mode of goodness, passion and ignorance from diverse cultures to understand their perspectives on Satvik/Rajsik/Tamsik. In the Machine learning phase, this data may train models to classify thoughts, language, and actions along a spectrum from red to green, indicating various levels of violence or harmony, tailored to diverse cultural contexts. Validation through Delphi method will ensure the accuracy and relevance of AI outputs through expert feedback, using iterative rounds to refine classifications. The next step will involve collaborating with media platforms to label content based on these classifications and develop educational campaigns that promote awareness of the above said values. To ensure relevance and responsiveness, continuous evolution of the framework will involve user feedback and adaptation to different cultural nuances. We propose a model called the 'KALKI' which will emphasize the importance of Knowledge, Attitude, Language and Karma using Intellect, to develop a society grounded in these principles.

In summary, bridging these diverse perspectives not only enriches our understanding of mental health and enlightenment but also paves the way for a more resilient and balanced approach to both intellectual and emotional wellbeing.
